With a desire to give back to her community, Laneisha began her professional career in civic engagement management at a non-profit in Oakland, California after earning her B.A. in Sociology. Furthering her education, she earned a B.S. in Accounting and simultaneously made a permanent career switch into the accounting industry. She aspired to bridge the gap between her desire to give back to her community and her passion for accounting.

She has successfully accomplished that goal by joining the San Joaquin Community Foundation as a Project Staff Accountant. She enjoys supporting the financial functions of a foundation that inspires to build resources for San Joaquin County.
