GIVING

Your donations provide nutritious meals to individuals, families, and children in need—while also supporting local restaurants that prepare and deliver these meals to partnering nonprofits that offer essential resources, compassionate support, and a sense of stability when it’s needed most.

RECEIVING

Nonprofit agencies are invited to apply for a meal request to feed clients or individuals in need in Stockton. Thanks to generous donors and our partnership with local restaurants, fresh meals may be requested from one of our partner restaurants. To request meals, please click the “Apply Now” button.

Stockton Meal Project

About the Stockton Meal Project

The Stockton Meal Project was developed to help address food insecurity by providing meals from local businesses to families or individuals with health risks, special/assisted care needs, financial hardship, and other experiences that prevent access to a suitable amount of food. The Project works with locally owned restaurants, many of which are minority-owned, to purchase chef-prepared meals. The prepared meals are then distributed by nonprofit partners to families living in underserved communities throughout Stockton.

The Value of Giving

Every $16.00 donated supports a family by providing a complete nutritious meal that is chef-prepared. Your donation isn’t just a meal; it’s a lasting memory and a source of relief for people in need of your support. Plus, your donation is supporting locally owned restaurants and nonprofit agencies.

How to Request Meals

We encourage nonprofit agencies to request donated meals to help serve clients or other individuals who are experiencing hardship. Choose from one of our restaurant partners, let us know the meal count, and a little about who will be helped by the donation of meals. It’s easy- simply log in to or create an account on our online grants portal and submit your request.
